東洋大学では、地方へのUIJターン就職を希望する学生に対する支援体制を強化しています。希望する自治体ごとの相談窓口の紹介や、各自治体から届く就職情報やイベント情報を常設する地方就職情報コーナーや学生用支援システムで配信。地方就職専門の相談員を招いての相談会やインターンシップガイダンスなども開催しています。2019年3月には千葉県と、10月には宮城県と学生UIJターン就職支援に関する協定を新たに締結。全国18の自治体と学生のUIJターン就職を促進するための協定を締結しており、各地の企業への学生インターンシップや、各自治体の担当者を学内に招いての個別相談会なども随時行っています。
Toyo University has enhanced its system for supporting students who wish to find a job in a provincial area (returning their hometown, leaving their hometown in a metropolitan area for a provincial area, or moving to a provincial area other than their provincial hometown). For example, the University shares information with students about the departments they should reach for consultation with local governments in the areas where they wish to work, and uses permanent provincial-area career development information sections or the student support system to provide job openings and event information offered by the local governments. The University also organizes consultation sessions with outside consultants specializing in career development in provincial areas, as well as internship guidance sessions. The University concluded agreements with Chiba Prefecture in March 2019 and with Miyagi Prefecture in October of the same year to support students’ career development in these prefectures. The University has so far concluded partnership agreements of this type with 18 local governments around Japan, where students are sent to intern at local companies and attend individualized consultation sessions on campus with invited local government staff.
