2021年1月に「東洋大学教育DX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）推進基本計画」を策定しました。「東洋大学教育DX推進基本計画」は、以下の5つの枠組みで計画しています。

• １．入学から卒業まで一貫した教育情報のデータ統合とAI解析結果の最適活用
• ２．オンキャンパスとオフキャンパスの学習スタイルの高度化と多様化
• ３．建学の精神の具現化を目的としたリカレント教育の世界展開（国内地域含む）
• ４．学生の成長を中心に据えた体系性あるFD・SDプログラムの構築と学内業務の断捨離
• ５．デジタル活用推進本部による推進体制と外部人材を採り入れた評価体制の構築

また、同計画の１を基にした取り組みである、「『学生一人ひとりの成長を約束する学修者本位の教育の実現』 ～“3万人のLearning Journey ”の羅針盤～」が、文部科学省「デジタルを活用した大学・高専教育高度化プラン」に採択されました。今後、デジタルを十分に活用し、学修者の視点に立った教育の実現を目指してまいります。

文部科学省「デジタルを活用した大学・高専教育高度化プラン」は、大学・高等専門学校においてデジタル技術を積極的に取り入れ、【取り組み①】「学修者本位の教育の実現」、【取り組み②】「学びの質の向上」に資するための取り組みにおける環境を整備し、ポストコロナ時代の高等教育における教育手法を具体化し、その成果の普及を図ることを目的としています。東洋大学が採択された【取り組み①】「学修者本位の教育の実現」は、174件の申請のうち44件が採択され、私立大学では22校のうちの1校に選ばれています。

Toyo University formulated the “Toyo University Basic Plan for Promoting Digital Transformation in Education” in January 2021. It is based on the following five frameworks:

• 1. Integrate educational information data from admission to graduation and optimize the use of AI analysis results.
• 2. Increase sophistication and diversification of on-campus and off-campus learning styles.
• 3. Develop global expansion (including domestic regions) of recurrent education with the purpose of embodying our founding spirit.
• 4. Establish a systematic FD/SD programs with a focus on the growth of our students and streamline campus operations.
• 5. Establish a promotion system led by the Advancement of Digitalization Division and an evaluation system that incorporates external personnel.

Also, “Design student-centered education to ensure the growth of each and every student: A compass for Learning Journeys for 30,000 students" is an initiative based on the above 1 of the basic plan. It was adopted for the “Plan for the Advanced Education at Universities and Colleges of Technology Using Digital Technology” designed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Toyo University will continue to make full use of digital technology to design education from learners’ perspective.

The MEXT-led “Plan for the Advanced Education at Universities and Colleges of Technology Using Digital Technology” aims to actively adopt digital technology in universities and colleges of technology, develop an environment that can contribute to "Designing student-centered education (Initiative 1)" and "Improving the quality of learning (Initiative 2),” embody educational methods for higher education in the post-COVID-19 era, and disseminate the results of these efforts. Regarding "Designing student-centered education (Initiative 1)" for which Toyo University was adopted, 44 out of 174 applications were recognized, and Toyo University was selected as one of 22 private universities.
