西日本を中心に甚大な被害をもたらした「平成30年7月豪雨」。東洋大学では、被災地支援のため2018年7月12日から白山キャンパスをはじめ学内各所で募金活動を実施しました。また、学生間で豪雨被害に遭った現地に赴くボランティア活動の機運も高まったことから、「ふるさとボランティア活動助成事業」を創設。出身県が過去3年間災害救助法適用地域であり、帰省時などに出身県でのボランティア活動を企画した学生に、活動経費の一部助成を行う助成事業をスタートしました。

“2018 Japan Flood” severely affected various areas mainly in western Japan.

To revive the disaster affected areas Toyo University held a fund raising campaign from July 12, 2018 at Hakusan campus, and other campuses as well.

Toyo University also organized “Homecoming-revive-volunteering Grant Program” to respond to the increase in students’ motivation involving as volunteers in affected areas. The new grant program covers part of the costs for the homecoming revive volunteer activities by the student whose native prefecture invokes the Disaster Relief Law in the past three years.
