東洋大学は、様々な教育・研究活動に取り組み続けており、学生・教員が学外から高い評価を受けています。その中の一人、田沼友理さん（学際・融合科学研究科）は、ナント大学（フランス）における日本人初の「ダブル・ディグリー・プログラム（PhD double degree programme）」に参加し、「新奇カーボンナノ構造体の創成」に関する研究を行い、2022年に本プログラムの学位取得者第1号となりました。東洋大学とフランス・ナント大学は、大学間包括協定に基づく各種教育プログラムに関する協定を締結しており、この制度は双方それぞれの大学の条件を満たすことで、博士学位を双方の大学から取得できるプログラムとなっています。

Toyo University has continuously engaged in a variety of educational and research activities, and its students and faculty members are highly evaluated by external organizations. Among the students,Dr.Yuri Tanuma (Graduate School of Interdisciplinary New Science), who had participated in the “PhD double degree programme” of the Nantes University (in France) and carried out research on the “Synthesis of Novel Carbon Nanostructures,” became the first student to obtain a PhD under this program in 2022. Agreements for various educational programs have been executed by Toyo University and the University of Nantes in France under their Inter-university Framework Agreement, and participating students can obtain a doctoral degree from the two universities by fulfilling their respective requirements under this program.
