HELSPO HUB-3 Is Scheduled to Be Completed at the Akabanedai Campus in 2023 and Will Feature a Gym and a Library
Construction is underway at the Akabanedai Campus on the HELSPO HUB-3, which will feature a gym and a library and is scheduled to be completed in January 2023. HELSPO HUB-3 follows the newly built WELLB HUB-2 completed in 2021 home to the Faculty of Human Life Design and the new international exchange residence AI-House HUB-4 completed in 2022.
HELSPO HUB-3 will be connected to WELLB HUB-2 by a glass bridge, and will be home to the students of the two new faculties scheduled to be established in April 2023, the Faculty of Design for Welfare Society* and the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences*. HELSPO HUB-3 is an abbreviation of the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences. It incorporates the meaning that Toyo University aims to become the base for research and education in the field of health and sports science in Asia.
With the creation of HELSPO HUB-3, the Akabanedai Campus is expected to further contribute to the solution of societal issues, such as the declining birthrate and aging population and health problems, in the fields of information, welfare, design, and health and sports sciences.
*The plan is being formulated as of February 2022. The faculty names are provisional, and the plans are subject to change.
