●Enhance Cross-Cultural Understanding Through Daily Life
AI-House HUB-4 is Toyo's second international dormitory (after the International House (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo)), and it has a capacity of around 300 students. The concept is “a place for coexistence” where domestic students and international students live together. The residence features many communal living spaces and learning and multi-purpose rooms that anyone can use. A global environment that can be said to be a microcosm of international society is available to students as soon as they step out of their room. At AI-House HUB-4, students can enjoy diverse cross-cultural exchange through daily life.
●A Multitude of Educational Programs and Events
RAs (Resident Assistants) support all aspects of residents’ daily life and plan to organize a variety of events and seminars conducted by outside lecturers. We hope that providing opportunities for mutual exchange will help facilitate natural communication between residents. Such opportunities include international students introducing the cuisine and culture of their home country in the shared kitchen, and domestic students sharing the culture, customs, and traditions of their hometowns and giving advice about living in Tokyo.
●What You Can Learn in a Global Community
To create and maintain a high-quality community, it is important to create a comfortable living environment with respect for the rules. Any time people with different lifestyles and cultures live together, there is the possibility of friction. However, I hope that residents will gain the ability to understand different cultures, as well as identify and solve problems. At the same time, I want students to enjoy the AI-House HUB-4 environment where they can develop the critical thinking skills required to succeed in a global society.
Life at AI-House HUB-4 provides a stimulating experience beyond studying overseas. Students can experience diverse cross-cultural exchange through their daily lives. I hope that students can make use of their time at AI-House HUB-4 for the next stage in their lives and become global citizens that play active roles on the world stage.
