【受賞・表彰】Rania Elsadig Ahmed さんが、廃棄物資源循環学会の優秀ポスター賞を受賞しました。

国際学研究科 国際地域学専攻 博士前期課程2年のRania Elsadig Ahmed さんが、2023年9月11～13日に開催された「第34回 廃棄物資源循環学会 研究発表会」において、優秀ポスター賞を受賞しました。

Rania さんは、国際協力機構の「きれいな街のための中核人材育成」コースの支援によりスーダンから来日しています。
受賞した研究発表の題目は「A Feasibility Study on the Utilization of Tea and Coffee Waste as a Raw Material in Compost Production in the Khartoum State - Sudan」で、母国スーダンの首都ハルツーム市において、きちんと回収されずに街中に投棄されることも多いコーヒーかすや茶殻の農業利用について、関係者へのインタビュー調査やアンケート調査に基づいてその実現可能性を議論したものです。

【Award・Commendation】Rania Elsadig Ahmed received the excellent poster award of Japan Society of Material Cycles and Waste Management.

Rania Elsadig Ahmed, who is a second year of graduate student in the master’s program, Course of Regional Development Studies in the Graduate School of Global and Regional Studies, received the excellent poster award at “The 34th Annual Conference of Japan Society of Material Cycles and Waste Management” held on September 11-13, 2023.

Ms. Rania came to Japan with the support of JICA “ Long-Term Training "Creating Leaders for Clean Cities" Program.

The title of the research presentation she was awarded is「 A feasibility Study on the Utilization of Tea and Coffee Waste as a Raw Material in Compost Production in the Khartoum State – Sudan」.  She discussed on the feasibility of agricultural use for coffee grounds or tea leaves, which are not collected properly and are often discarded everywhere in Khartoum, the capital city of her homeland Sudan, based on interview and questionnaire to people involved.
