Term-end Examinations 

Term-end examinations refer to examinations that take place in the last week of each semester .(exam/make-up period: July 31 to August 5; January 23 to January 29). These examinations may take place at a different venue from the regular classroom. Check the details on ToyoNet-G.

In-term Examinations

In-term examinations refer to the examinations that take place during regular class hours. Please take these examinations following the instructions of the faculty member in charge. These examinations generally take place in the regular classrooms. If a different venue is to be used, only the students enrolled in the relevant class will be notified via ToyoNet-G.

<Things to note when taking an exam>

1.  Even if you take an exam for a subject, which is not listed on your subject registration confirmation sheet, this exam will be treated as invalid.
2.  Both term-end and in-class examinations are conducted according to the ordinary class timetable.
3.  Note that exam venues may be different from regular classrooms.
4.  If the exam for a subject takes place in two or more rooms, each student will be assigned to a specific room depending on his/her student ID number. Be sure to take the exam in the    designated room.
5.  Follow the instructions of the supervisor during the exams.
6.  You will not be allowed to take an exam without a valid student ID card. Be sure to bring your student ID card and place it on the desk during the exam, as directed by the supervisor. (Students may be required to show their Student ID even while sitting for an in-class exam. Carry your Student ID with you during the exam period.)
7.  The only items that can are permitted to be brought in the exam room are writing materials, watches (with time indicating function only) and other items authorized by the instructor. Devices with communication
functions, such as cell phones and smartphones, are not allowed to be placed on the desk. Turn off your cell phone and/or smartphone and place them in your bag so as not to disturb others during the exam. The above-mentioned devices and music players are not allowed to be used for time keeping.
8.   Be sure to bring your own writing materials (ballpoint pens, pencils, erasers). You cannot borrow writing materials.
9.  Drinking and eating during an exam is prohibited.
10. Be sure to fill in the faculty, department, school year, ID number and name fields on the answer sheet using a black pen or black ballpoint pen (not an erasable pen).
11. In the student ID number field, enter all 10 digits of your student ID number printed on your student ID card. Answer sheets without complete ID numbers or names will be invalid.
12. No students are admitted into the exam room after the first 20 minutes of the term-end exam. No students are allowed to leave the exam room until 30 minutes after the exam begins and unless the exam supervisor gives his/her permission. If you leave the exam room before the exam finishes, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
13.If  you are unable to take a regular exam because of an unavoidable reason, such as a disaster or illness, submit appropriate evidence, such as a medical certificate (a copy is acceptable), to the instructor in charge and follow his/her instructions.
14. If a student is found to be cheating during an exam, severe measures will be taken based on the University Rules (Article 57). For the regulations on cheating and details of punishment, please refer to p45.
15. Be aware of the possibility of transport disruptions and bad weather, please be sure to arrive at the exam venue in good time.


Academic Dishonesty during Examinations

Students who have committed an act of academic dishonesty (an act that violates the University rules and regulations or an act that is contrary to the duty of students) during an examination will be subject to disciplinary action pursuant to Article 57 of the Academic Rules and Regulations.

1Types of Disciplinary Actions

The Universitys disciplinary actions are reprimand, suspension and permanent suspension.

2Disciplinary Actions and Misconduct Punishable Thereby

(1) Actions punishable by reprimand

  1. Lending/borrowing of items that are permitted to be brought into an exam venue
  2. Act of peeking at other people’s answers or deliberately showing one’s answers or looking at other people’s answers
  3. Act of ignoring a caution given by the exam supervisor or assistant
  4. Other acts equivalent to those in 1. to 3. above

(2) Acts punishable by one month’s suspension

  1. Act of exchanging answer sheets
  2. Act of bringing in a forbidden item
  3. Act of bringing to an open-book exam a textbook containing handwritten notes, and act of writing notes on a desk, one's hands or the like, or other equivalent acts
  4. Verbal abuse in response to a caution given by the exam supervisor or assistant
  5. Other acts equivalent to those in 1. to 4. above

(3) Acts punishable by permanent suspension

  1. Taking an exam for someone else or having someone else take an exam for oneself
  2. Act of re-committing misconducts while enrolled at the University
  3. Act of violence in response to a caution given by the exam supervisor or assistant
  4. Other acts of an extremely malicious nature

3Measures to Be Taken After Disciplinary Action

(1)    Regardless of the type of disciplinary action taken, no credit will be given in the relevant year (semester) for the unit for which the act of academic dishonesty was committed. No credit will be given for any units for which examinations were conducted during the examination period of the relevant year (semester) in the case of an act punishable by suspension in 2. (2) or 2. (3) above.

(2)   The period of suspension shall, in principle, be counted from the day on which a decision on disciplinary action was determined at the relevant Faculty Council.

(3)   The Dean of the Faculty to which the offending student belongs to shall have a meeting with the student and his/her guarantor to notify them of the details of the disciplinary action determined for the student.

(4)    The Faculty to which the offending student belongs to shall give educational guidance to the student during the suspension period.

(5)    All parties involved in acts of academic dishonesty described in [1] and [2] of acts punishable by reprimand, [1] of acts punishable by one months suspension, and [1] of acts punishable by permanent suspension shall be subject to the measures described in (1) to (4) above.


Students who have been notified of their academic dishonesty may make an appeal.
(Note that the above matters concerning academic dishonesty may be amended.)


* Academic dishonesty during in-term examinations will also be subject to disciplinary action. Carefully listen to the instructions and explanations given by the faculty member in charge






  1. 履修登録確認表に記載されていない科目を受験しても無効です。
  2. 学期末試験、平常試験ともに通常授業実施時間帯で試験が行われます。
  3. 試験会場は平常授業時と異なる場合があるので、ToyoNet-Gの情報を確認してください。
  4. 1科目で試験会場が2カ所以上になる場合、学籍番号で試験会場を指定するので、必ず指定された試験会場で受験してください。
  5. 試験に際しては、すべて監督者の指示に従ってください。
  6. 学期末試験では、学生証がないと受験できないので必ず携帯し、試験会場では机上の指示された場所に提示してください。(平常試験でも求められる場合がありますので、学生は必ず携帯すること。)
  7. 試験会場に持ち込みできるものは、筆記用具・時計機能だけの時計・持ち込みが許可されたもののみです。携帯電話、スマートフォン等の通信機能が付いた機器は机上に置けません。試験の妨げにならないよう電源を必ず切って、かばんにしまってください。なお、上記の機器、音楽プレーヤーを時計代わりに使用することはできません。
  8. 筆記用具(ボールペン、鉛筆、消しゴム)を必ず持参してください。貸出は一切行いません。
  9. 試験中の飲食は禁止します。
  10. 答案用紙の、学部・学科・学年・学籍番号・氏名欄には必ず黒のペンまたはボールペンで記入してください(ただし、インクが消しゴム等で消せないものに限る)
  11. 学籍番号欄は学生証に記載されている学籍番号の10ケタすべてを記入してください。学籍番号、氏名のない答案用紙は無効です。
  12. 学期末試験は試験開始後20分までに入室しないと受験資格を失います。また退出は開始後30分を経過し、監督者の指示があった後にのみ許可します。途中退室した場合、再入場は認めません。
  13. 天災、病気、その他やむを得ない理由によって、試験を受験できなかった場合は速やかに証明書または診断書(コピー可)等を添えて担当教員に届け出て、具体的な指示を受けてください。
  14. 不正行為を行った場合は、学則(第57条)に基づき処分されます。不正行為についての規程と処分内容は学生生活ハンドブックP.68を参照してください。平常試験でも不正行為があった場合には、処分されます。担当教員の指示・説明をよく確認してください。
  15. 交通機関の運行や天候の乱れ等に留意し、試験会場へは時間に余裕をもって入場してください。








  1. 持ち込みが認められているものの貸借。
  2. 他人の答案の覗き見、答案を故意に他人に見せまたはそれを見る行為。
  3. 試験監督者もしくは監督補助者からの注意を無視した行為。
  4. その他、1から3に準ずる行為。


  1. 解答用紙を交換する行為。
  2. 許可されていないものの持ち込み。
  3. 書き込みを許可されていない持ち込み許可教材、机上、手掌等へ書き込みをしての受験、または、これに類似する行為。
  4. 試験監督者または監督補助者からの注意に対する暴言。
  5. その他、1から4に準ずる行為。


  1. 替玉受験。
  2. 在学中における再度の不正行為。
  3. 試験監督者または監督補助者からの注意に対する暴力行為。
  4. その他、極めて悪質な行為。


(1)処分の種別にかかわらず、不正行為のあった試験科目の単位は、当該年度(学期)において認定しない。また、上記「2.(2)」および「2. (3)」の停学の対象となる行為については、当該年度(学期)の試験期間において実施される全ての試験科目の単位を認定しない




※ 平常試験でも不正行為があった場合には、処分されます。担当教員の指示・説明を必ず確認してください。
