【最近の主な研究テーマと活動内容】
-The Latest Research Theme and Activities-
Apart from teaching here at Toyo University, I am also a kimono designer. Since I am not Japanese, I believe my designs bring something new to kimono culture. However, it has also made me more interested in ideas surrounding cultural appropriation and how cultural costumes help to great cultural/subcultural or national identities.

At Toyo University, I teach a range of classes including English Communication, Cultural Studies, Presentation, and Hospitality English. In all of my classes, I expect students to actively participate in order to get as much out of them as possible.
