Students gain a broad understanding of sociology by examining studies performed in various areas and acquiring knowledge from those fields. They cultivate the ability to apply diversified approaches to events that are happening in modern society through the improvement of their capability to conduct empirical studies, which is gained through valuable experience from fieldwork.
The Faculty of Sociology strives to provide education based on the two paths of pursuing scientific principles and practicing their application. The general established faculty-wide subjects include Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Social Research, Social Research, and Stafistical Date Processing and Practice / Web Based Information Processing and Practice. There are various courses in the particularly important subject of Social Research, and they provide rich and useful course contents.
