Overview

sociology

The Sociology Department seeks to provide education based on two vectors, the pursuit of science and study, and their application and practice. "Introduction to Sociology," "Introduction to Social Examination," "Social Examination and Practical Application," and "Information Literacy" have been established as the common required courses. "Social Examination and Practical Work" is a particularly important course, and includes various classes to provide a content-rich course.

Abundant knowledge acquired in other classes, such as theory, recent research achievements, social statistics, and information processing, is applied in "Social Examination and Practical Work." Essential understanding of people and society is gained, not from books or the Internet, but from the field by each individual.
