The purpose of this research is to develop qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods for the fluid-structure coupled analysis methods, and evaluation systems to be used for the numerical methods of the present project. Especially a three-dimensional visualization system using a virtual reality (VR) technology is utilized for the evaluations based on three-dimensional images. Various evaluation methods, for instance, displaying experimental images as well as visualized numerical results, side-by-side or overlapped, are developed, considering the features of visualization. Variety of new visualization methods enables intuitive and effective verification and validation, and evaluates the present fluid-structure coupled analysis methods in many aspects.
