Our International Students Win the International Blockchain Contest
A team that includes four of our international students won the Grand Final of Infinity Blockathon 2020 for City Transformation, a blockchain contest held in Vietnam.
The Grand Final of Infinity Blockathon 2020 for City Transformation was staged on November 7, 2020, at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
After a four-month course of activities, the top six teams made their presentations at the Grand Final on a theme they had each selected from the three contest topics offered: Supply Chain, Smart City, and InsurTech-Fintech.
PENTA FLAGSHIP is a multinational team that includes four of our international students: Doan Ngoc Phuong Trinh (Vietnam), 4th year student in the Department of Global Innovation Studies; Lertsakuncharoen Pichamon (Thailand), 4th year student in the Department of Information Networking for Innovation and Design; Molomjamts Uyakhan-Egshig (Mongolia), 2nd year student in the Department of Global Innovation Studies; and Hadisumarto Masato (Indonesia), 4th year student in the Department of Information Networking for Innovation and Design. This was the only team in the competition that participated exclusively online.
PENTA FLAGSHIP chose Supply Chain as their theme. The team presented Medicine2You, a blockchain-based platform for medicine delivery, which was regarded as the top solution. The team, despite being the only team participating online, received the highest evaluation scores, allowing them to win the championship.

Travel restrictions are in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and many international students are feeling frustrated at not being able to return to their place of learning. Under such circumstances, PENTA FLAGSHIP’s triumph brought forth a brilliant ray of light.
