TGL Camp Held on Asaka Campus
On Saturday, December 8, TGL Camp was held in the Asaka Campus Library’s 2nd floor Active Area, with 18 students participating.
The theme for the Camp was “If the World Were a Village of 100 People.” The 18 participants, who were meeting for the first time, were assembled into four work groups. They researched the problems that would arise if the world were a village of 100 people, discussed and reached conclusions, and made presentations.
Students don’t usually have an opportunity to talk about serious global problems during everyday conversation. Researching and reaching conclusions on global issues in such a short time was not an easy task. However, each of the groups cooperated, displayed their strengths, and delivered their presentations.
We hope that the TGL Camp provided the students with an opportunity to increase their ability to think from a global standpoint, and that they will take further step to becoming global leaders representing Toyo University.
The next TGL Camp will be held on Hakusan Campus on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
