Cancellation of the degree awarding ceremony and graduation ceremony, for the 2019-2020 academic year.

To undergraduate and graduate students who will graduate in March 2020, and their families

Toyo University has set up an emergency committee on the novel coronavirus outbreak and considered measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

In accordance with the government’s basic policies regarding the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, issued on February 25, 2020, the University has decided to cancel the degree awarding ceremony and graduation ceremony scheduled on March 23th, 2020.

The degree awarding ceremony and graduation ceremony are very important for students and their families. Therefore, we regret having to deliver such a message to everyone who had been looking forward to the ceremony.

Our priority is to ensure the safety of students and their families, and to prevent the spread of the epidemic in Japan. Therefore, we had to make this painful decision. We ask for your kind understanding and tolerance.

The diplomas and other documents associated with graduation will be delivered by post.
