The "Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation Program" is a program that aims to foster and produce outstanding doctoral students who will contribute to the development of science and technology in Japan.
JST selects a project supervisor who is responsible for the selection of outstanding doctoral students, and under his or her leadership, the government provides support for initiatives to be implemented by the selected doctoral students.
The proposal adopted this time is the " Capacity Development Project towards Social Implementation of Academic Knowledge on Human Security (SIAKHS)" (project supervisor: Professor Hidetoshi Kitawaki, Faculty of Global and Regional Studies).
This project aims to create a new academic field related to human security by integrating existing academic fields using this project as a catalyst.
