Visa and Status of Residence

In order for international students to stay in Japan and enroll at our University, they are required to have a status of residence.PUGSバナー

Our University uses PUGS (Toyo University Online Application System for COE and Status of Residence) to conduct procedures for application, renewal and change of a
status of residence for our international students. (Click on the logo to the right to access the system.)

If you apply for a proxy application for a Certificate of Eligibility for your new entry, for a change of your status of residence to “Student,” for an extension of your period of stay with a status of residence of “Student,” for a status of residence of “Activities Other Than Those Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted,” or for a change of your status of residence of “Student” to “Temporary Visitor” or “Designated Activities,” our University will prepare an application form by using the information registered in this system, and the office in charge at your campus will provide it to you.

To learn how to use the system, please go to “HELP” at the bottom of the login page.
Once you acquire a new Residence Card, please promptly go to the office in charge at your campus to present it.
