Japanese STEP UP Courses

Toyo Japanese

Toyo University offers special Japanese extracurricular programs to help both Toyo University students and others with learning the Japanese language.  Japanese STEP UP courses are mainly for enhancing particular skills such as conversation, Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) preparation, grammar, reading, and listening.  There are various levels of courses from zero beginners to advanced students.  Most of the courses are one-to-one lessons and small class group lessons so that you will be able to focus on your weakness at your own pace to pursue your learning objectives.

 For Toyo students

 Leaners

 This is for Toyo University international students.

  • Course Period： Spring semester, Summer holidays, Fall semester, Spring holidays
  • Course Details： conversation, Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) preparation, grammar, reading, and listening
    1) Group Lessons
     Capacity per class: 2-10
     Lesson times: 90min x 10 (once per week)
    2) One-to-One Lessons
     Capacity per class: 1
     Lesson times: 40min x 10 (once per week)
  • Target： Toyo University undergraduate and graduate students including exchange students
  • Lesson Fees： Free (Textbooks should be obtained on your own)
  • Instructor: Toyo University Japanese Instructors
  • Venue： Hakusan, Kawagoe, Akabanedai, Itakura Campus or online  *Depends on the course
