If you apply online for the issuance of a certificate and receive it by postal mail, you can choose whether or not you wish to have the certificate officially sealed.
  • Please note that once you pay the processing fee, you cannot receive a refund for the fee.
  • If you issue a certificate at a convenience store, a printing fee of 60 yen per sheet (times the number of sheets to be printed) will be charged in addition to the processing fee for issuing the certificate.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and overseas embassies and consulates) will not accept any certificates issued at a convenience store.
