Scholarship and Awards

◆ Information on the Scholarship System and Scholarship Information Desks

The scholarship system provides assistance to students who have a strong ambition to pursue knowledge but face difficulties entering a university due to financial reasons, allowing them to continue their studies.
Scholarships are generally divided into two types: grants and loans. It is generally not necessary to repay grant scholarships,* however with loan scholarships, repayment is necessary following the end of the loan.
For that reason, please exercise caution regarding the amount of loans you accept, keeping in mind factors such as how much you will be able to repay.
Also, scholarships are payed/loaned directly to the student.
When applying, be sure that you (the student) yourself understand the circumstances for applying for a scholarship, and please be prepared to explain them.

*If a student receiving a scholarship takes a leave of absence/drops out, or is expelled, suspended, or disciplined in accordance with the University regulations, they may be held responsible for making a repayment.
