Overview of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering

 The Graduate School of Science and Engineering consists of four fields of specialization (Master Course),conferring master’s degrees (Science and Engineering) and doctoral degrees (Science and Engineering), two fields of specialization conferring master’s degrees (Engineering), and one field of specialization (Doctoral Course) conferring doctoral degrees (Engineering).
 The School cultivates researchers, educators and other advanced professionals equipped with specialized skills, creativity and a profoundly humane sense of ethics in harmony with the environment, arising from an ability to understand the basic principles and approaches of natural science grounded in physics and apply them in the fields of science and technology. The goal of the School is to develop individuals with the characteristics described below.
