(Master’s thesis)
A master’s thesis must satisfy all of the following standards.
1. Academic and social contribution of the thesis
The relevant thesis should make an academic and social contribution in the fields of regional
development studies and international tourism studies.
2. Absorption of the results of previous studies
The relevant thesis should fully absorb the results of previous studies and properly use them,
and should offer new findings in the relevant area.
3. Originality
The relevant thesis should show the full originality of the relevant student who has submitted
the thesis.
4. Completeness of the thesis
The relevant thesis should reach a high degree of perfection, and should be supported by
coherent logic.
(Research paper)
The review criteria for the research paper, which is written based on practical surveys and
research, correspond to those for the master’s thesis described above.

Review criteria for a doctoral degree thesis( KOU)

At Toyo University, a doctoral degree thesis (KOU) is rigorously reviewed according to the
following criteria.
