*those that hid the Prophet in the cave: at one point during the Hijra (the migration from Mecca to Medina), the Proph-et Muhammad and Abu Bakr took refuge in the cave of Thawr. Legends say that when Quraish soldiers approached the entrance of the cave, spiders had spun nets and pigeons had laid eggs as if no human had entered the place for some time; this saved the Prophet and his companion.25
