UMAP’s 25th Anniversary was held on Sep. 23, 2016 at Toyo University

UMAP 25th Anniversary Symposium was held on Sep. 23, 2016 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of UMAP (University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific).  About 200 participants who work for higher education institutions, scholars and students from both outside and inside of Japan attended the event.

During the symposium, panelists discussed about the trends and prospects of international student exchange, and the roles that UMAP can play in the fast-changing environment of student mobility.

*What is UMAP?

UMAP (University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific) is an association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education sector in the Asia-Pacific region which aims to achieve enhanced international understanding through mobility of university students and staff (teaching and administrative). In January 2106 Toyo University began a five-year term as UMAP International Secretariat.
