Study Abroad and Earn Credits

Studying abroad is a great opportunity for students of the Faculty of Regional Development Studies to acquire the skills that they will need as professionals capable of working effectively anywhere in the world. There are two types of study abroad programs. Students can apply to study abroad through the program offered by Toyo University’s Center for International Programs or the program offered by the Faculty of Regional Development Studies. Certain subjects that students take at universities abroad are accepted for credits of the Faculty of Regional Development Studies.

Long-term academic exchanges

The long-term academic exchange program is offered by Toyo University’s Center for International Programs. Toyo University has academic exchange agreements with 67 universities in 23 countries (as of February 2014), including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, France, South Korean, and China. In addition to these partner universities, students can apply to study at over 140 universities around the world that are members of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), a U.S.-based non-profit organization providing affordable access to international education for a diverse student population. Toyo University grants academic exchange students a scholarship in the amount equivalent to the tuition of Toyo University. Therefore, study abroad is very affordable.
