The World Championship Sports Report Ceremony Held

On Monday, October 19, 2015, the World Championship Sports Report Ceremony was held in Classroom 6101 at Toyo University Hakusan Campus. The ceremony was aimed at providing students with the opportunity to hear the reports by our student sports players who had accomplished remarkable achievements, including winning medals, at international sports meetings held around the world this summer. The classroom was full of students and their loud applause to praise the players’ amazing achievements.

    Competed in the 16th FINA World Championships Kazan
  • Tsubasa Amai (Swimming Club / Third-year; Dept. of Education)
    Competed in the 16th FINA World Championships Kazan
  • Asami Chida (Swimming Club / Fourth-year; Dept. of English Communication)
    Won the bronze medal in the Women’s 4 x 200 m Relay in the 28th Universiade Kazan
  • Reona Aoki (Swimming Club / Third-year; Dept. of Business Administration)
    Won the silver medal in the Women’s 200 m Breaststroke in the 28th Universiade Kazan
  • Miku Kanasashi (Swimming Club / Third-year, Dept. of Business Administration)
    Won the silver medal in the Women’s 4 x 100 m Medley Relay in the 28th Universiade Kazan
  • Yasuko Miyamoto (Swimming Club / Third-year, Dept. of Business Law)
    Won the silver medal in the Women’s 4 x 100 m Relay and the bronze medal in the Women’s 4 x 200 m Relay in the 28th Universiade Kazan
  • Ryo Murata (Sumo Club / Third-year, Dept. of Business Law)
    Won the bronze medal as a team member in the 20th Sumo World Championships Osaka
  • Hiroaki Kinjo (Boxing Club / Fourth-year, Dept. of Business Administration)
    Won the bronze medal at welterweight in the 22nd President’s Cup International Boxing Tournament
  • Yuta Akiyama (Boxing Club / Third-year, Dept. of Business Administration)
    Won the gold medal at lightweight in the 5th Taipei City Cup International Boxing Tournament
