Symposium on “Innovative Human Capital in the Global Symbiotic Society” held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the agreement with the University of Strasbourg

For two days from Tuesday, September 22 to Wednesday, September 23, a symposium was held at the 125 Memorial Hall on the Hakusan Campus to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Toyo University’s agreement with the University of Strasbourg in France. The theme of the symposium was “Innovative Human Capital in the Global Symbiotic Society - Creative Challenge of “Knowledge Angels” for the future work and Economy: France and Japan –“

With five researchers from the University of Strasbourg and others invited to give presentations, the symposium surveyed findings accumulated over 30 years by the two universities, mainly in the fields of comparative studies of economics, society, and labor in Japan and France. Over the course of lively discussions, an ideal emerged of a new generation of “knowledge angels” able to support innovation in Japan and France in today’s interconnected global society.
