Preventing Harassment and Human Rights Infringements

Toyo University highly regards individual dignity and considers basic human rights as the most basic rule in society. According to gender equality as established in the constitution, the Fundamental Act of Education, the Labor Standards Act, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Act for Men and Women, the University seeks to establish a comfortable educational research and study / work environment without gender discrimination, by implementing measures to prevent sexual harassment. In the event such does occur, the University a swift and proper response shall be carried out.

Regarding academic harassment involving abuse at educational research locations, such as abuse of authority, alcohol abuse or harassment, which are classified as infringements on human rights, greater awareness by related parties is provided through workshops, etc. In cases of sexual harassment, an appropriate response will be promptly carried out.

We seek the understanding and cooperation of the teachers, workers, students, and all other persons related to this university in order to help prevent harassment and infringements on human rights.
