Mission-Directed Faculties Generating Academic Disciplines for the New Age
We' ve established two new departments: the Department of Accounting & Finance and the Department of Human Environmental Design. |
| > The Department of Accounting & Finance, Faculty of Business Administration |
| The advancing forces of globalization and information technology have significantly transformed the economy, and the Faculty of Business Administration has responded. We have moved beyond the conventional curriculum, designed to teach basic accounting skills, and are asking students to master accounting and finance at the highest levels. We have begun graduating students who combine expert knowledge and analytical skills in both fields. |
| > Department of Human Environmental Design, Faculty of Human Life Design |
| This is the first department in the nation in which students study the design of elements ranging from architecture to region to product in a comprehensive manner centered on peopleÕs lives. Under the concept of "Universal Design," students study how to design architecture, environments, and products to be accessible to the greatest number of people, taking into account societal structures in order to contribute to a society in which all individuals can participate equally. By reexamining the interrelationship of "welfare," "health" and "environment," the key components of Human Environmental Design, we are expanding the borders of this new discipline in ways that bear upon the ability every individual to lead a fulfilling life. |
