On June 22, we had guests from the Kingdom of Thailand. 43 senior higher education administrators and 6 delegates from the Office of the Higher Education Commission visited Hakusan campus for the globalization of Thailand’s higher education and the promotion of exchanges between Thai Universities and Japanese Universities.
The presentations delivered by Toyo University were as follows:
• “Introduction of Toyo University and the overview of Toyo’s international exchanges” by Prof. Kazuo Takahashi (Director, Center for Global Education and Exchange)
• “Internationalization of Toyo University from Administrator’s Perspective” by Mr. Kiyotaka Takahashi (Director, International Affairs Office)
• “Path to Global Leaders: In the Transition from GGJ to SGU at Toyo University, 2012-2017” by Assoc. Prof. Yuko Kobayakawa (Center for Global Education and Exchange)
• “Promoting Student Mobility in Asia and the Pacific: An Introduction to UMAP” by Assoc. prof. Takeshi Sekiyama (Center for Global Education and Exchange)
The group also toured around the campus between the presentations. Thai students currently studying at Toyo University joined the tour, which contributed to a better understanding of the international students of Toyo University.
We hope this visit will help further promote the friendly relations between Thai Universities and Toyo University.
