* It takes more than 30 minutes to travel between Akabanedai Campus and Sogo Sports Center.
Therefore you should take the travel time into consideration for your class scheduling.


8-3. Class Cancellations・Make-up Classes・Class Absence
8-3-1. Cancellations

Due to unavoidable circumstances of the instructors, classes may be cancelled. Please follow the instructor's instruction.
In the case of emergency, a University staff member may come to the classroom to notify students of a class cancellation.

* If the instructor does not appear within 30 minutes after the scheduled start time of the class, inform the Administration Office and follow the instructions given by the Administration Office.


8-3-2.
Make-up Classes

When a class is cancelled, a makeup class will be scheduled. Please follow the instructor's instruction.

8-3-3. Class Absence

If you will be absent from a class for a compelling reason, report it directly to the instructor in charge. You can find the contact information of instructors in the “Syllabus/Faculty Profile.” section on ToyoNet-G.
Administration Office will not put you through to the instructor by phone or at the counter.
In the case where you will be absent from school for a long period due to illness or injury, etc., please contact the Administration Office.

After contacting the doctor's office by telephone, directly notify the instructor (the next time you attend the class or via email).

The period of suspension of attendance due to specified infectious disease is not treated as attendance, in principle.

Illness/injury requiring an absence of more than three months

Leave of Absence Request Form

Contact the Administration Office.

If you cannot attend school for more than three months due to illness or a family-related reason, etc., you may take a leave of absence with the permission of the University.

* Email is one-sided and your email might not reach your instructor for some reason. So be sure to directly notify the instructor the next time you attend the class.

* If you are late for class due to a transportation-related reason, submit a delay certificate issued by the relevant transportation company to the instructor.


8-3-4.
Class in the Event of an Emergency

In the case of ①-③ listed below, class adjustments will be announced via E-mail. Follow the University’s instructions.

① When public transportation is expected to be disrupted due to an approaching typhoon, etc.
② When public transportation stops due to a disaster, such as a typhoon or an earthquake
   (excluding temporary stoppages for fatal accidents)
③ When a large earthquake warning declaration is issued.

* If situation ① or ③ above occurs while the University is in session, information will be provided through
  the University’s emergency broadcast system.
* The above rules also apply to lecture meetings and seminars held on a campus of the University.


8-4. Contacting Instructors

When you send an E-mail, be sure to write your Student ID number, your name and subject name. Also, you should describe briefly what you want to consult about.
