2-1. Administration Office

At the Administration office, you can consult about the functions listed below.

Main functions:
- Consultation on academic affairs
- Consultation on course registration
- Consultation on student life

- Changing registered information (e.g., address, phone number, emergency contact information, and guarantor)

If there are changes to your visa (status of residence/period of stay) and/or address/contact details, be sure to report them to the Administration Office.

 
Description of Changes Documents to be submitted
Student Moves
(Change of Address) 

・ Submit a copy of your Certificate of residence (Your status of residence must be on it and your Individual Number must not be on it) to Administration Office.

・ Submit your Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate (double-sided copy) to Administration Office.

・ Submit a copy of your National Health Insurance Card (double-sided copy) to the Administration Office.

Change or Renewal of Visa
(Status of Residence) 

・ Submit a copy of your Certificate of residence (Your status of residence must be on it and your Individual Number must not be on it) to Administration Office.

・ Submit your Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate (double-sided copy) to Administration Office.

・ Submit your Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate (double-sided copy) to Administration Office.

・ Submit a copy of the page of your passport with the "Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted".

Long Absence from School

If a student cannot attend school for three or more months due to illness or an accident, it is necessary to complete the absence from school procedures.

Such students must promptly submit forms to the Administration Office. International students who are absent for three or more months must return to their home country unless they have a valid reason to stay in Japan (such as hospitalization).

Note that non-Japanese nationals who do not return to their home country and stay in Japan for arbitrary reasons during an absence from school may be at a disadvantage when applying for a renewal for period of stay and change in status of residence.

* Students may not work part-time jobs during periods of absence from school.

Withdrawal from School

Students who withdraw from the university must report to Administration Office. Those who lose their student status due to withdrawal must leave Japan promptly even if this occurs during their original period of stay. For those who wish to stay in Japan, it is necessary to get approval from the Immigration Bureau.

2-2-3. Faculty/Department Transfer

Faculty/Department Transfer is a system whereby a Toyo University student(scheduled to proceed to the 2nd or 3rd year level) transfers from the Faculty/Department with in the University.

As a general rule, transfer from Faculty/Department is only available when there are openings in the other Faculty/Department
